MAF (Malin Andersson Film) is headed by director and producer Malin Andersson, based in Malmö, Sweden and produces creative documentary films. Malin started the company and began to work as a producer after having made her debut film ”Belfast Girls”(2006, produced by WGfilm/Fredrik Gertten and coproduced by Alexandre Cornu, Les Films du Tambour de Soie). Malin has for instance won the EU/UNESCO award Boundless, awarded to a few young European film-makers and being nominated for a Prix Europa for Belfast Girls, as well as for her new film Blood Sisters.

Malin is the director and producer of the newly released, multi-award nominated creative documentary film Blood Sisters, (84/60 min), an international co-production between Sweden, Ireland, Finland, Norway, Denmark and France, Blood Sisters had its world premiere in competition at Hot Docs 2015 and was nominated as Best Nordic Documentary at Nordisk Panorama 2015. Blood Sisters is nominated for a Prix Europa /IRIS award in Berlin in October 2016. Apart from launching Blood Sisters in the cinemas nationally and internationally and touring with the film around the world,

Malin is currently screening Blood Sisters for numerous high-school pupils in the Nordic countries Malin has made the Swedish Workers’ Educational Association (ABF’s) new educational material on documentary filmmaking, and is continuing to mentor young aspiring female filmmakers in producing- and documentary filmmaking, as well as preparing for new films.
